Freemen Nutra holds a commitment to supporting sustainable, socially responsible and moral practices. Freemen Nutra is committed to aligning itself with all stakeholders who also work to support this commitment. Freemen Nutra seeks to engage and partner with certified B Corps where possible to ensure the highest standards of environmental and social screening are in place.
Freemen Nutra will seek to promote ethical and responsible trading by electing to source goods and services from Suppliers who align with Freemen Nutra’s Supplier Code of Conduct and can therefore demonstrate that:
- Employment in their workplace is freely chosen.
- Working conditions are healthy, safe and hygienic.
- Child labor is not used.
- Fair wages are paid and working hours are not excessive.
- All employees are expected to act and show integrity and professionalism while in the workplace.
- No discrimination, harassment, violence, bullying, unfair treatment or harsh/ inhuman treatment is practiced or allowed.
- Protect confidential information and will not misuse any information that has been entrusted to us.
In addition, we have in place systems to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains through initial onsite audits and continued random audits of all vendors and suppliers.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains by working with highly reputable and socially conscious partners.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains through continued random audits of our business locations and supplier facilities.
- Protect whistle blowers who may help in the identification of potentially dangerous violations.
- Global Anti-Corruption where we ensure awareness of and comply with applicable laws and regulations which relate to bribes and other forms of corruption.
Sustainability
We recognize that our activities affect the environment and commit to minimizing adverse impacts across the business. Freemen Nutra is committed to aligning itself with all stakeholders who also work to support this commitment. We aim to comply with all current and future environmental legislation, prevent pollution, and incorporate appropriate environmental factors into business decisions. Our efforts are reflected in our recently awarded EcoVadis Silver Medal. This sustainability achievement places us amongst the top 25% of 100,000+ companies who utilize EcoVadis. EcoVadis evaluates companies in 4 main areas: Environment, Ethics, Labor/Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement. We take this award and sustainability seriously, and we expect all stakeholders to maintain the same or reasonably appropriate levels of compliance with the applicable standards Freemen Nutra Group strives for. Below are the measures that are currently in place across all global regions:
- Freemen Nutra works with factories that have undertaken a sustainability initiative; Most factories are ISO14001 certified (Environmental management system) which allows them to operate within best practices to reduce environmental impacts.
- An emphasis on efficient forecasting and purchasing systems to ensure our goods are imported by sea, helping to keep the carbon footprint as low as possible.
- Supporting our local community by giving back those who need it the most. Our customers help us choose charities, and then we contribute to their philanthropic goals through donations and volunteering at their events. Organizations we have supported are Community Partner, Boys & Girls Club, Vitamin Angels, Tikva Children’s Home, John E Kennedy Crusaders, etc.
- ERP implementation- reducing the amount of paperwork needing to be printed by 30% for order processing and invoicing.
- Freemen Nutra owned warehouse participates in the “CleanSkies” program for all our warehouse equipment. Only electric lifts and energy conscious charging stations are used.
- Printers- Implementation of energy star certified machines and all printing jobs are defaulted to double-sided at the IT level to save paper. Printing as minimally as possible.
- PIR lighting controls at Freemen Nutra Group owned warehouse.
- Moving 90% of meetings to online/home to office mileage reduced.
- We promote reuse and recycling, as well as the use of supplies that are recycled and recyclable at all locations.
- Water conservation measures.
- We aim to reduce our consumption of single-use plastics, use environmentally friendly paper, and recycle where possible, including plastics and large electronic equipment (leased laptops).
- We aim to lower indirect emissions by finding alternatives to travel where we can, and by encouraging colleagues to choose travel options that are better for the environment.
